News: New Prompt Lists

I have made a batch of new prompt lists for the bingo card generator by magibrain, who has uploaded them into the menu. They are now listed as "Ysabetwordsmith's miscellaneous prompts." The title has been changed to reflect the fact that most of these will work for more than just fiction, and several are explicitly designed for other kinds of creativity. Also the lists have been alphabetized by title within category, which should make them easier to find.


These are my new prompt lists:

* Death
* Desperate Situations
* End of the World
* Famous Movie Quotes
* Food
* Governments
* Handicaps
* Holidays
* Music
* Negative Coping Techniques
* Poetic Forms
* Poetic Terms & Techniques
* Positive Coping Techniques
* Time Periods
* Superpowers

Art Media, Music, Poetic Forms, and Poetic Terms & Techniques are all meant to facilitate different activities than just fiction, but some could be used as fiction prompts too, especially if you mix them with different list. Build a card with those plus Food, Emotions, and Gentle Fiction -- you've got "Bohemian Street" as a theme. In addition to creative inspiration, Positive Coping Techniques can also be used for self-care along with the lists already in the Life, Lifestyle and Living category. Negative Coping Techniques may be used to track the frequency of one's maladaptive habits and whether more work is needed, along with its original purpose of ruining your characters' lives.

Also new from magibrain is the Horror Tropes prompt list, filed under "TV Tropes." These are full lists of tropes with a TV Tropes category, complete with embedded links. For comparison, mine are shorter, sometimes paraphrased, and don't have links; but magibrain pointed out that having both kinds of prompt list might be useful to different people.

Huge thanks to magibrain for coding and updating this terrific resource for creative bingo! I have some other ideas for prompt lists that I would like to make when I have time. Does anyone have urgent needs for a particular kind of prompt list that isn't readily covered by this or another resource?

Also new today: the bingo generator page now contains a donation button so that users can tip the codewriter.
