Hi! Welcome to Superhero May at [community profile] allbingo! This bingo challenge runs May 1-31.

If you didn't know, May 29th is the official date given for Tony Stark aka Iron Man's birthday in both the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I decided that I wanted to host an affair this year to celebrate Tony as he's my favorite MCU character of all time. I decided to include all of Marvel and DC comics in the celebration since Batman was actually my favorite superhero growing up!

I've come up with lists of prompts for Tony, The Avengers, The Justice League, and a mixed up list of prompts for both Marvel and DC. I've put the public tables and their codes here first, and then I'll put all the lists separately in text area boxes so y'all can generate your own card if none of the public cards have captured your interest! Sorry I was late getting this posted as I meant to post it at midnight but was upset by my team, the Braves, losing their game to the Mariners!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Mixed Quotes Bingo Fest! Posting for the fest runs from May 1 to May 31. This idea was inspired by [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith, who liked a few fests last year that had the potential to use quotes for the relevant media. So I decided to grab quotes from books, TV shows, movies, and inspirational material for use as prompts. I mostly used top 50s and top 100s lists to find my quotes, so if there are any specific fandoms you want to pull from that I missed, feel free to add your own quotes to my lists. I have made one card for each list and one mixed card, but you are of course free to make your own card if you'd like. Many of the quotes I chose contain commas, which are a nuisance when dealing with the bingo card generator AND also trying to present a list that participants can simply copy and paste into the card generator if they want to make their own card. What I have done to mitigate this is replace any comma within a quote with a tilde (~) instead. If you would like to replace the tildes with commas when you make or choose a card, that is perfectly fine, this was just the best solution I could come up with that wasn't overly complicated or caused other problems.
**The public cards I made commas in them, because I used the html code for commas- , -before realizing that wouldn't work for the lists, at which point I went through and put tildes everywhere instead.

There a few special ways to make a bingo this month, based on the initial letter of the categories. First, a typical letter, I, made by filling all squares in rows 1 and 5, as well as all squares in the "N" column. Second, another typical letter, T, made by filling all the squares in row 1 and all squares in the "N" column. Next, we have the letter V: fill squares B1, B2, B3, I4, N5, G4, O3, O2, and O1. For books there is the letter B: fill all squares in the "B" column, I1, I3, I5, N1, N3, N5, G1, G3, G5, O2, and O4. For movies we have an M: the "B" column, the "O" column, I2, N3, and G2. And fnally, for quotes, the letter Q, which is the one that gave me the hardest time and I'm still not sure if it looks like an actual Q. To make a Q bingo, fill squares B1, B2, B3, B4, I1, I4, N1, N3, N4, G1, G2, G3, G4, and O5.

Making banners isn't in my skill set, but in the wrap-up post at the end of the month, I'll give a special shout out to everyone who made a bingo, as well as trying to give a hi five when the bingo is made, if you choose to claim a bingo mid-fest. I hope everyone enjoys the fest and can get some good inspiration; I know I'm hoping to get a few fills in. Without further ado, lists and cards can be found behind the cut.

The Leaky Pipeline Bingo Fest runs May 1-31. All sizes and media, fandoms and original works are welcome.

The "leaky pipeline" is a metaphor for people leaving. Most often it is used in relation to women or black people in STEMZ, but it can refer to other disadvantaged groups or different projects. STEMZ stands for Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Zetetics, including both practical and academic branches -- fields where people often get pushed out. The pipeline leaks because people often have miserable experiences in these fields and prefer leaving to remaining miserable.  If your fandom or original setting has groups (e.g. mutants) or fields (e.g. warp technology) with similar problems that are not listed, feel free to add them!  There are ways to address the problems, and storytelling is one of them, so let's stick some corks in it.  \o/

This bingo fest offers prompts clustered into several categories: People, STEMZ Majors / Fields / Careers, Risk Factors, and Resilience Factors. Each has at least 24 prompts so you can make your own 5x5 cards (or other sizes) if you wish. There are public cards for each one, plus a combination card.  If you make multiple cards, you also have the option of combining a People prompt with a STEMZ prompt and a Risk or Resilience prompt to generate a scenario by matching, say, the B1 square on each card.

Welcome to May's Tarot Fest!!!

The Tarot Fest will run from May 1 - May 31. It's open to all fandoms and of course original works too! All kinds of creations are welcome for this fest. Fiction, poetry, icons, baking, knitting, crochet, arts and crafts of all kinds. If you make it, it counts. There are no size requirements for your creations for this fest.

There are 4 public cards, three 3x3 cards and one 5x5. You can also make your own card at the Bingo Card Generator here. There are already tarot prompt lists there.

I made all but one of the public cards with the prompts from the Rider-Waite-Smith lists. The Wildwood Tarot is a very beautiful deck but is different enough that it works best if you’re already familiar with it. Feel free to use prompts from any of the tarot lists there.

I've included some keywords for the tarot prompts that are on the public cards. There are so many decks out there these days, feel free to check out various images and information online and let that inspire your creations. If you have your own decks you can use those to inspire you too. Feel free to interpret a card/prompt in whatever way that works for you. Have fun!
