I think I've been lurking here long enough that it might be time to say hello.

I am: lady_katana4544 (I can generally be found almost anywhere on under this name unless stated otherwise). I am usually shy with people, so hello.

I make: Fanfiction and some original fandom work - this is something that I've been slowly branching out into, sometimes I play around with icons when I'm in an artsy sort of mood though not often. And sometimes poetry when I'm in the mood to do it.

I like: A lot of things really. I like most anime/manga series, in particular I pay close attention to Claymore and Sailor Moon. Outside of anime, I like The Musketeers, Star Wars, Star Trek, Welcome to Night Vale, Charmed, Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Castle, Doctor Who, Orphan Black, Orange Is The New Black, Transformers to name a few as there is a lot of things that I'm interested in. Outside of the fannish likes, I like books, music, food, and writing. In my writing, I tend to be very flexible when it comes to pairings and how those relationships grow between the characters.

I play: Recently posted a bingo piece at trope_bingo, but I currently have cards @ hc_bingo, cottoncandy_bingo (though their round closed a while back, but I'm still playing with the card anyways), origfic_bingo, and genprompt_bingo.

Good for you, exploring more original work! I enjoy mining fanfic for ideas to load into my original canons.

There are a good handful of acefolks hanging around the bingo communities and crowdfunding. I write a lot of ace characters myself.

Exploring original work is fun especially when reading about the universes that other people have created. Fanfiction is just ripe with loads of ideas that can be used for original work, its great.

It's a collaborative effort between creator and audience, ending with direct sales. I have a big archive of resources here:

One of the common forms you'll see here is a prompt call. The creator posts a theme and parameters. People give prompts. The creator makes stuff -- usually art or writing, but sometimes music or other things -- based on those ideas. Usually one or more pieces are posted free, and others are available for sponsorship.

I have a Poetry Fishbowl coming up next Tuesday if you want to see an example. Theme will be "flexible truths." You can just watch my audience have at it, or ask for things you'd like to see in poetry.
