The 2024 Community Calendar is up, and several folks have claimed fests.

We really need someone to take Public Domain Day in January. This is a recurring fest that has all new prompts every year, based on works that are newly released to the public domain. It's easy to run because you don't really have to make a prompt list from scratch -- you just search for articles (which should already be available) listing works that go public on January 1.

I might be able to take this one. I need to look at the info more closely, and double check my schedule, but I should have an answer for you relatively soon.

That would be super useful.

It's an easier bingo than usual because you don't have to make up prompts, just find lists. Aim for at least 25, but you don't have to exhaust yourself trying to find everything. Some folks make separate sublists for books, movies, or other topics; sometimes they're all mixed together. Do what works for you.

As for schedule, you can make the post anytime that is convenient for you between now and January 1. The lists are already available.

Let me know if it looks feasible enough for me to add you to the calendar.

That sounds pretty easy. Go ahead and add my name for that fest; I should be able to handle pulling together a couple lists and making some public cards.
