This is the May community post for
allbingo. What were your bingo activities during the past month? What are your plans for June?
For May, we had the Solo Celebration Fest hosted by
samuraiter.
June will have TWO fests:
Finish It Bingo fest hosted by
dialecticdreamer. This fest will run for TWO MONTHS, concluding at the end of June. It overlaps the monthly thematic fests. The idea is to finish works you have already started.
Cottoncandy Bingo fest hosted by
ysabetwordsmith. It's a return to the delights of the old
cottoncandy_bingo community, featuring positive prompts for upbeat stories.
See the 2016 schedule for examples and details of other events.

I didn't even come close to making bingo this time. I liked the prompts I got, but I rarely write about only one character, and even ignoring that parameter I didn't get many. Also none of them got sponsored yet, although one is online free. Here's what I wrote ...
B3 -- refuge, "A Safe Refuge from the World" (Polychrome Heroics: Officer Pink)
I1 -- introvert, "The Love We Give Our Fragile Craft" (An Army of One)
I3 -- self-awareness, "As My Awareness Increases" (Polychrome Heroics: Berettaflies)
N1 -- public places, "Rise Above the Earth" (Polychrome Heroics: Cassandra)
N2 -- learning what you like, "Dichroic" (Polychrome Heroics: Shiv)
G2 -- caught in the act, "Rotten Fruit" (Love Is For Children)
O5 -- dominance & submission, "For the Sake of Reformation" (Polychrome Heroics: Pain's Gray)

Cottoncandy Bingo Fest

Once upon a time, there was a wonderful bingo community called
cottoncandy_bingo. It hasn't been active since 2014, so I decided to revive the concept with this fest. It was my favorite bingo, and my audience's favorite as well.
The Cottoncandy Bingo fest runs June 1-30. Its goal is to inspire people to create happy, upbeat things and the prompts lean in that direction. So much of entertainment has become bleak or hostile; it's nice to get away from that and make positive things instead. Of course, you can take your prompts in any direction you wish. All fandoms and formats are welcome; there is no length requirement either.
You might like the Butterfly, Fireplace, Happy Face, Heart, Kite, Layer Cake, Picnic Table, Sun, Tree, or Waterfall bingo patterns.
