Cottoncandy Bingo Fest

Once upon a time, there was a wonderful bingo community called cottoncandy_bingo. It hasn't been active since 2014, so I decided to revive the concept with this fest. It was my favorite bingo, and my audience's favorite as well.

The Cottoncandy Bingo fest runs June 1-30. Its goal is to inspire people to create happy, upbeat things and the prompts lean in that direction.  So much of entertainment has become bleak or hostile; it's nice to get away from that and make positive things instead.  Of course, you can take your prompts in any direction you wish. All fandoms and formats are welcome; there is no length requirement either.

If you look on the Bingo and Achievements page, there are links to several sites that show many different patterns. Often there are some that suit the theme of a fest.

Yay! Cotton candy! I miss that comm even though I'm still working on the cards I got from there when it was active.

I'll more than likely be sticking with the public card because I have a few ideas for a diagonal line and that is a lot of prompts to whittle down to a custom table.

I still miss it too. It was my favorite.

Yeah, it took me two rounds to whittle down 400 into something reasonably tailored for what I write. But I'm thrilled with the end results. I went for a mix of cottoncandy-specific phrases and stuff that's general enough it's easy to write.

This is a low-pressure, high-inspiration community. That means you can use the prompts to make anything you want, any size, any fandom or original work.

There are achievements on the community's bingo and achievements page for people who want to aim for a specific size.
