This month I will be hosting the NCIS Bingo Fest. Posting will be from November 1 - 30. NCIS is one of my favourite shows, and I think the only one I've followed all the way through. For those not familiar with the show, it is a crime drama that follows Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his team as they solve crimes committed by or on Navy personnel. When making my lists for the cards, I tried to add generic items as well as ones specific to the show, so that it is possible for everyone to participate, even if you've never seen NCIS. The character list will be the most limited by this but you can still make a 4x4 card with it, or you could make yourself a mixed card if you so desire.

Since this is a crime themed bingo fest, I thought I'd add a few additional patterns for claiming a bingo. First, a checkmark for "right," which can be claimed in multiple ways. B4, I5, N4, G3, and O2 create a valid checkmark. You can shift the checkmark up one row for another 5 square checkmark. You can also shift it one column to the right, two rows up, or two rows up and one column right to get checkmarks that are 4 squares each. Second, an "X" for "wrong." This is the traditional bingo X made of two diagonal lines going from corner to corner. Third, an "I" for innocent. This can be made by filling all the squares on the top row, the bottom row, and the middle column (13 squares in total for a 5x5 card). And finally, the hardest one to figure out, a "G" for "guilty." I went with a capital G because the pattern was easier to make clear. To make a "G" bingo, fill squares I1, N1, B2, B3, B4, I5, N5, G4, G3, and N3. This pattern is usable on 4x4 cards or bigger. On a 5x5 card, you can also shift the G one column to the right (starting in the I column instead of the B column) to make this pattern.

At this time, I don't have any rewards to offer for completing bingos, but I will look into making banners for those who claim a bingo. If nothing else, I will make a post here and on my own journal giving congratulations to anyone who makes a bingo during the fest. I hope we get some awesome fills this month and I'm excited to host my first fest! Have fun everyone!
