List of Prompts: Reindeer, Yule, Stars, Boughs of Greenery, Stockings, Aggressively Festive Holiday Sweater, Antlers, Tree, Lights, Yule Goat, Long Nights Moon, Candles, Winter Solstice, Wreaths, Yule Log, Krampus
Link to Card: My card (Sorry, it's flocked and I can't make it public)
Title: Reindeer Food Jar
Prompt: Reindeer
Medium: Decorative Craft
Notes: I decorated a vitamin bottle using gesso, spray inks in red and green, encaustic wax in gold and silver, a melt tool with a brush nib, and a black sharpie. Free handing a tiny reindeer was harder than I thought. It was good practice for making the Halloween decorations I have planned this year.

Title: Together at Yule
Prompt: Yule
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: I used a classic matting format for the card. Materials are printed paper, card stock, rubber stamp, black heat embossing powder, embossing medium, a heat gun, and colored pencils.

Title: Stars
Prompt: Stars
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: Materials are card stock, spray inks in red and green, a star stencil, rubber stamp, gold heat embossing powder, embossing medium, and a heat gun.

Title: Season's Greetings
Prompt: Boughs of Greenery
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: For this one, I free handed some greenery with a pen on Copic marker paper, then colored it in with Copic markers and Smooch (which doesn't show up in the picture). I mounted the Copic Marker paper on green card stock.

Title: Small Gifts
Prompt: Stockings
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: This one it pretty simple. I had some stocking paper along with some gift stickers and coordinating cardstock.

Title: Sweater Weather
Prompt: Aggressively Festive Holiday Sweater
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: Admittedly, the sweater could have been more aggressively festive, but I was making it up from scratch with a deadline. The sweater is cut out free hand from printed paper and decorated with colored pencils. The rest of the card is green cardstock and border stickers.

Title: From the Heart
Prompt: Antlers
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: Inspired by the chalkboard trend, I wanted to go really simple with this one. Originally, I had drawn reindeer antlers on the card. After spending about a half an hour getting them perfect, I realized that reindeer antlers look weird enough no one would recognize them as antlers. So, I erased the whole thing and started over. I inked it with a super thin pen and the saying is a rubber stamp.

Title: Tree
Prompt: Tree
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: This is one of the better trees drawn on Copic marker paper with Copic markers after a blending class. Its mounted on cardstock. Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the exposure problem in the photo.

Title: Merry Christ-Moose
Prompt: Lights
Medium: Paper Craft/card
Notes: The images are stamped onto white cardstock and heat embossed. I colored it in with colored pencils.

Title: Yule Goat
Prompt: Yule Goat
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: I love yule goats. I drew the goat on white cardstock and then mounted it onto the last piece of what is probably my favorite holiday paper. My mother told me it was a very strange looking reindeer.

Title: December Moon
Prompt: Long Nights' Moon
Medium: Paper Craft/Decorative Tag
Notes: This is Sharpie and watercolor on cardstock. I will write something special on the back before I hang it later in the year.

Title: Welcoming Back the Sun
Prompt: Winter Solstice
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: After a bizarre bit of inspiration, I drew this out on cardstock without a real reference and colored it in with watercolor paint and I am still shocked at how well it came out.

Title: Holiday Wreath
Prompt: Wreath
Medium: Paper Craft/Card
Notes: We just happened to be painting the house so, I just happened to have a whole bunch of paint sample card things laying around. I punched out as many hearts with my punch as I could and experimented. Luckily, the experiment worked and I decorated with with glitter liner. The color on the tube is either copper or bronze, but it looks really red in person.

Title: Yule Log
Prompt: Yule Log
Medium: Craft
Notes: It's a candy holder. It will look better wrapped up for gifting. I decorated a Pringle's can with gesso, watercolor paint, and distress ink.

Title: Krampus
Prompt: Krampus
Medium: Paper Craft/Decorative Tag
Notes: I love Krampus almost as much as I love yule goats. I really want to do a tag series of creatures of the winter holidays. I drew him on card stock, then colored him in with watercolor paint and colored pencils. He came out more monotone than I had intended.

Date: 2015-07-30 07:56 pm (UTC)LOL, Yule Goat-weird reindeer; I'd have said ram :)
I love the food jar and the stunning winter solstice. I'm very impressed with the Krampus tag!
Also the candle looks interesting, something I'd like to try (but probably won't!) - will you keep it or burn it?
Yes...

Date: 2015-08-08 06:32 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you couldn't get the photos to load. Do you think it would help if I linked you to the photobucket album itself or posted them in a reply here with html?
Thanks so much.

Date: 2015-08-08 06:37 pm (UTC)Thanks so much. I really wanted to do a blackout with crafts this year since my fills last year for the winter fest bingo were such a big hit.
Ram is a way more awesome answer than weird reindeer.
Thank you very much.
The candle was relatively easy. I was basically just drawing with hot wax onto cold wax. I intend to burn it as my center sun candle this Yule. (Unless, I find a big yellow one in the mean time.)
