Discworld Bingo

August's Bingo Fest is the Discworld Bingo, celebrating all things connected with Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. The Discworld is a flat, circular world, which sits on the back of four elephants who stand on the back of a star turtle. There's the City Guard, composed of men and dwarves and a werewolf and a troll and others; there are the witches who understand people a lot better than they do themselves; the wizards of the Unseen University and Death who rides on his horse Binky and likes kittens and curry. You are welcome to use whichever medium you like for completing a bingo. The fest will run from 1 August to 31 August.

I own several Discworld books ( only read maybe a handful). Not sure if I’ll sign up, I still want to do the July one

I've been slowly working my way through the Discworld books. That's fine - there's only so many hours in the day!

I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Does Watch sort of like The War in Game of Throwns?

I don't know Game of Thrones, but I'd guess not. The City Watch is roughly the equivalent of a police force (UK style) and through the series more and more different 'species' join, so there are dwarves, werewolves and trolls.

I didn't like the prequel of Game of Throwns, but the main series was awesome. There was a wall where people had to guard, because there were evil people on the other side.

Oh wow a bingo fest just for me!!! I will definitely be using this to write my yearly Discworld fic. Made myself a little one since I've got a few other writing commitments this month but I'm looking forward to it.

When I first got into Discworld, I was really into Carrot/Angua but then I got completely sidetracked by Vetinari lol. Maybe this is my cue to write some Carrot/Angua again?
