Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bingo Fest

Hello! Welcome to the April Bingo fest - TMNT edition! The first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was published all the way back on April 30 of 1984 (for a May release), making this the 40th anniversary of the franchise.

To celebrate, I'm sharing some bingo prompt lists and example cards! This fest will run from April 1-30.




These lists are here to mix and match! I've got a list of TMNT-specific terms if you're up for writing ninja turtles, and some general ones that will hopefully fit a variety of intents and purposes. Fills can be for any fandom and any medium, and you can be as flexible as you'd like in how you interpret the prompts. You can generate your own card here. Feel free to remove any prompts that don't interest you!

I think you did good. You have a lot of fandom specific mixed with stuff that could be use for any fandom and IMO that's key.

I agree. We've seen that feature in some of our best fandom-specific fests. I like it because it really tends to hit words and phrases that we haven't seen before, and when you've been playing fanbingo for years, that's really valuable.

You did a fantastic job of making prompt lists and I can hardly wait to crack into mine! The only thing I might have changed would be making a separate list of quotes, but 1) you included a few of those, and 2) always leave them wanting more.

I will keep that in mind if I do one of these again! I went looking for quotes, but I was dithering on how many memorable/notable ones that I kept going back to seemed really fandom specific or otherwise limiting, kind of forgetting that some of the fun is in the challenge. First time nerves, I suppose.

Okay, there's a spectrum, and you hit it square on.

Anchored to fandom: "Cowabunga!"

Referencing fandom, but riffable: "Give me a slice of the bananas and sausage, will ya?"

Could fit anywhere: "I love being a ________!"

Ideally, a good list of quotes will include some of each. If you want to see an example, there's a quote list from Wednesday in last April's Gothic Bingo.

Part of the fun for me, with quotes, is imagining which of my characters they would fit. I had no trouble placing that pizza.

And relax, you're doing a great job as a fest host. Feeling a little nervous is normal. You'll get the hang of this. It's fun, and it's not super complicated because we've got the Bingo Card Generator.
