The following poem belongs to my series Fledgling Grace. This is spiritual fantasy about what happens when humans start sprouting the wings and tails of (mostly) birds. It has themes of transformation, faith, good and evil, identity, family of choice, and avian symbolism.
Title: "Like the Two Wings ..."
Fandom: Other: Original (Fledgling Grace)
Prompt: Color
Medium: Poetry
Size/length: 236 words, 39 lines
Summary: An intersex person manifests wings of different colors.
Content Notes: Mention of past discrimination.
Two of these items happen in the shared world of Torn World. This is science fantasy in a setting where temporal technology has had severe negative impacts. There are two main cultures, the snow-unicorn riders in the north and the Empire in the south.
Title: "Beachfront Propriety"
Fandom: Other: Torn World
Prompt: Building/Creating something
Medium: Fiction
Size/length: 2,388 words
Summary: Ashrein and her daughters settle in Tifijimi, where they build a new life.
Content Notes: Deals with loss and disability.
Two of the following poems belong to Polychrome Heroics, a superhero setting with a variety of focal characters. The primary one is a plural person collectively called Damask, with different powers depending on who's in control at the time. Themes include diversity of sexuality, gender, ethnicity, and ableness; intrapersonal, interpersonal, and social dynamics; and different types of heroism.
Title: "Like Unformed Clay"

Summary: Danso makes a new friend at the teen parents meeting.
Content Notes: Difficulty fitting in, teen parenting, superpowers. Also this is a sequel to "The Ones Who Would Do Anything," so it will make more sense if you read them in order.
