Hi, kira here! I’ll be your host for this month’s Bingo. Our theme is “Wonders of Nature.” Since December is full of holidays and get-togethers with family and friends, I thought we should do bite-size cards, instead of the usual ones. There’s enough stress this month without having to worry about making a bingo. Below the cut will be a couple of public cards along with a list of words to make your own using the bingo card generator. ( http://an.owomoyela.net/fun/bingo_generator ) Special thanks to Kat & Vexed for helping me with my list of words! You’re the best!!
“So how do I make a bingo?” you ask. Well, fics and artwork always work. If you want to get really creative, take a walk outside and take some pix with your phone, or go on a scavenger hunt through your picture folder on your computer or search the interwebs for something that fills the prompt! Remember your first school play and you were tree number 6, and that pic Mom likes to show off to all your dates? That counts too! So does cosplaying Bambi. Those cute little crochet animals you made for your niece, they count! That ugly Christmas sweater with those frisky (*winks*) moose, it also counts. As long as it has something to do with Nature, it counts as a fill! (*grins*) Since these are 2x2 cards (Feel free to do as many as you like!) filling any two prompts counts. This can be as little as two 100 word drabbles, or as much as four hand knit sweaters (*winks*), the sky's the limit! All I ask is that you have fun!

Thank you. I'm looking forward to this Fest. Its a very good idea. I'm running out of steam for the year, but I can do a 2x2 card and still keep up with the
drabble communities that I belong to. I can't believe how it's already December. This whole year just flew. It's crazy.Next year I've got to do better and my first goal is already to get my time management under control.

You're welcome as well. I wrote a lot this year. That's probably why I didn't get other things done. I have a pile of books to read that have sat forever. I need to read some more next year and still write and get the house squared away so I can get moved. Too much to do and too little time which I seem to say that a lot. I hope you're able to write some more next year. I loved your sweater idea, but I don't knit. Hopefully one day I'll learn to knit. I'd love to. My mother didn't know how either and my grandmother was the most inpatient person so she never really taught me.

Well ...

I had no luck learning to knit or crochet. Ah well.

If you find time to try it:

Also, if the first method you try doesn't work, switch to a different grip or even a different hand. There are various options and people often have a strong preference.

Thank you for the links. It always looks like fun. I wish my grandmother had been patient. She only ever managed to help me make a pot holder for my Mom when I was little. She knew all sorts of things that I would have liked to learn, but that wasn't going to happen. She never even let my Mother in her kitchen when my Mother was young so she had learn to cook by other means.

That's sad. My grandmother taught me a lot, and my mother too. I was very lucky.

I think of my other grandmother would have taught me to cook if she hadn't had an aneurysm when I was in the 2nd grade. She survived, but couldn't be independent after. She was the best cook. I wish she'd had the chance to teach me to cook. She came from the old school of a pinch of this and pinch of that so there aren't recipes. I don't remember her ever sewing or doing needle craft.

I don't know why my maternal grandmother was so impatient. She just wasn't interested in teaching anything. I wish she'd taught me stuff, because she did know stuff. She was a crappy cook, but she was a really good baker and candy maker. She even made jam from scratch. I've got some of her ceramics as well. She had a kiln when I was a kid. That would have been fun.

I'm glad your granny love to teach you things. That's lovely.

I'm glad I'm not alone in the needing to read more.

I read articles and the occasional fanfic, but I used to read all the time both books and fanfic. I don't know why I don't much anymore. Reading is awesome. It's how I learned to write.

My card is here. It's a regular 5x5 because of my Poetry Fishbowl.

However, I also printed out the whole list. I want to see how many I can find pictures of.

I think the small cards are a great idea. I just picked a bigger one because I already have the Poetry Fishbowl on my schedule.

The photography is ... probably inadvisable timing-wise but I like trying to do some non-writing things.
