It would be really helpful to mark on the list of Bingo communities which ones one doesn't need to bother checking out when one does not write fanfic. Would avoid the disappointment of checking out something that sounds interesting, but turns out to be fandom only.

I have added a post which summarizes the parameters of bingo communities listed in allbingo resources. At present, all of them allow original work. origfic_bingo ONLY accepts original work, not fandom. Everything else is bifocal.

In addition to your request, I also listed a bunch of other stuff that I usually look for. I did not list open/closed status or round schedules because that changes more often. We have the "!schedule" tag for that, and people can just visit the communities to check activity status.

Thank you very much. I remember checking, and in at least one community only seeing "fandom-bingo"/"for fanworks" in the profile, no mention of original, no link to rules, so, yeah.

I'm glad I could help. It is really frustrating to look at an event and not be able to figure out whether it fits what you want to be doing. I've had that happen a lot with poetry -- less now than in the beginning, because I and some other folks have been encouraging fest organizers to specify poetry in their guidelines.
