Date: 2021-11-29 09:42 pm (UTC)Well ...
Date: 2021-11-29 09:56 pm (UTC)I'm terrible at finishing cards <<
Those are things you can practice, and probably will get better at over time if you do practice them. The key to improvement is choosing one small, specific skill to work on and really focusing on that. Then move on to a different one.
If you want to work on one, consider things like:
* Choose a small format like drabble or haiku and concentrate on churning out a whole bunch of them as fast as possible.
* Take a card, make a time to write, sit down and write on demand without worrying too much about quality.
* Make a small 2x2 or 3x3 card and focus on finishing it.
>> but at least I get a bunch of prompts out of it! <<
That's the real goal here. This is a high-inspiration, low-pressure community. It doesn't matter if you only write a couple of things, or it takes a long time. It only matters that you're creating more, or fresh and different things, than you would have without the bingo prompts.

Re: Well ...
Date: 2021-11-30 02:11 am (UTC)Go you!
>> My main problem is ADHD and having too many interests and projects.<<
That can be challenging.
Sometimes it helps to get other people involved in choosing projects. I have an infinite supply of ideas, but the Poetry Fishbowl helps me figure out which ones people most want to read and buy. So I write more of the popular stuff.
>> I'm going to try to do a bunch more for the amnesty fest next month<<
Go for it!
>> (along with the conlang challenge Lexember) <<
I haven't heard of this one. Do you have a link?
>>And I have a couple of bingo card ideas for when sign-ups open for next year.<<
That sounds good.

Re: Well ...
Date: 2021-11-30 02:47 am (UTC)I tried looking it up on Dreamwidth but got no hits.
So I'll just throw it out on Allbingo. We already have some prompt lists that would suit, including but not necessarily limited to:
* Robert Plutchik's 1980 list of emotions
* Untranslatable words
* Color words
* Gardening words
* Art media
* Emotions
* Food
* The Negative Trait Thesaurus
* The Positive Trait Thesaurus
* Swadesh Basic List
* Types of family
