Yeah I'm a wee bit bemused here (now if my original fiction output would match that...)

Writing masses of anything not only improves your skill, but makes it seem like a lot less work. But it really does have to be MASSES. I got a big boost from knocking out 10,000-word classes for an online school. After I'd done that for a while, 10,000 words just didn't seem like much.

No it really doesn't after awhile (I'm over 80K already for the year, all fanfic) Right now with as nuts as work has been I don't have spoons for world building so fanfic keeps me writing (not to mention it's fun) once I get the work knocked out I'll have the brain power for my original stuff since I have a deadline in 2 weeks....
