Welcome to the March Meet Ugly Bingo Fest.
This month's fest is all about the humor and tragedy of awkwardness. While a "meet cute" is a scene where two characters are introduced in an adorable, cute, funny, charming way, a "meet ugly" is a scene where your characters encounter each other in a horrible, unfortunate, unflattering way. (and still manage to like each other! )
These stories are opportunities for you to explore your character's darker side. Are they petty, insecure, arrogant, short-tempered? Now's the time to revel in that.
Although a regular regimen of schadenfreude is good for the soul, I recommend a 3x3 card for this month. We don't want to dive
too deep into the abyss. ;)
Anyway, here's a public bingo card:
i Googled my name and found pictures of you instead | you've been driving five under on a one lane road. now we've stopped at the same gas station and i'm feeling passive aggressive | i checked my hair in a car window not knowing you were inside. now you're making fun of me and i don't even know you |
you waved at someone behind me and I waved back. now i'm committed to pretending I know you | what are you doing in my garage? | i'm a golddigger and you pretended to be wealthy at the club. sorry but if that's your flat i'm not interested |
i went for a high five with my friend and hit you instead | we showed up to a party wearing the same outfit. it's very revealing | i've made you repeat yourself four times and I still can't understand what you're saying |
Or you can make your own with the
Bingo Card Generator and these long form prompts:
