The Community Calendar 2022 is now up, with a good start on fests.  You can see we're starting to stack recurring fests with new ones.  If you'd like to run a fest, just comment on that post with your topic and preferred month.

I managed to get a blackout for the NCIS Fest in Nov. For Dec. I'm hoping for a bingo in both the Lexember and the Winter Fest. Fortunately, I don't have to take part in the Amnesty since I, by some miracle, I am caught-up on my bingo cards. As you mentioned, I'm also hosting both Amnesty and Winter Fest. I'm going to try and get those up tonight.

I'd never written in that fandom even though I've watched it for its whole run. I deleted the first attempt.

Always save what you write, even if you think it sucks. You might have an idea to reuse it later.

I've been a writer for a very long time, and I've known many others. So I've picked up a lot. Sometimes you can make a new thing from old scraps. Other times, you want to see how far you've come and it's useful to have things to look back on. Or you rewrite one sections for a third or fourth time, and realize that version 2 of a different section goes with it better, so if you haven't kept the earlier ones then you have to try reconstructing it.
