Fest: Summer of the 69

Summer of the 69 is a festival dedicated to works featuring the sexual position, open to all fandoms and to original creations, and all fanwork/creation types. It runs from June 9th through September 6th, to encompass "6/9" in both common date formats: Month first and day first.

Participants are welcome to use this year's theme calendar or options from the 2024 theme poll to make 2x2 or 3x3 Bingo cards!

It's fun to see a fest like this advertised here.

If participants want more inspiration -- like if you want a larger card -- the Bingo Card Maker also has lists for Erotica, Kinks, and Sex & Romance that should work well with summerofthe69.

For anyone new to Summer of the 69, I'll also be writing mini-essays to go with each theme. Some of this year's themes are recycled from last year, so you can take a look at the old essays to get an idea of what I'm talking about. I'm crossing my fingers that, next year, the rest of the community and I will be able to come up with enough themes for a proper 5x5 Bingo card, whether or not they all make it to the final list.

Save all the ones from previous years and you can recycle them as options for future seasons, then just add the new ones to the poll.

Oh, that is 100% the plan, no worries 😜 I'm just not entirely sure we'll get enough new suggestions, even stacked with the previous and failed themes.

Still, I'll remain optimistic, and try to remember to jot down any theme ideas for next year so I don't forget. We only need seven six new theme suggestions to make it to 25 24, and we got eight new suggestions this year, so it's definitely possible! Hell, if we get more than that, I might run double themes next year.
