Early is fine, anywhere from about 2 weeks ahead of the first posting day. People used to post the prompts early more often, but it doesn't happen as much now.
Have you thought about doing prompt lists for other fall-friendly fandoms? There are so many that would fit, like Buffy the Vampire Hunter, Lucifer, Shadowhunters, etc. I try to make a new list for the Valentines fest each year, so people have something fresh to play with. Or maybe someone else would like to volunteer such a list, if one of their fandoms fits.
