It's frustrating that you couldn't finish, but exciting that you have such a long piece in progress! Don't worry too much about the timing. This community doesn't have hard deadlines for its fest, although individual hosts may set limits for collections, prize banners, etc. Me, I just wanted to chuck some new stuff into the dearth of good stories about disabled people. That lack of representation is a problem we can just fix, if enough writers want to.
