And since I did promise a FICTION piece:

Groundhog took in the humanoid form dripping what might be shaving cream, or something much, much more dangerous, as the automatic sensors at the front door deployed a downdraft of air and a sheeting chemical mist which neutralized most known zenetic enhancers. “Cut it off,” growled the figure. A hand shook globs of white onto the carpet, then scraped down the face. “It's organic and inert.”

Leapfrog scowled as he hurled a gizmo barely the size of a deck of playing cards onto the reception desk. Cheerful yellow numbers blinked 0:00:03.14 at him.

Just as he read the display, it changed to “Pi in FACE!” Then it went back to blinking the countdown.

“I don't care WHO calls me into this area next time!” Leapfrog declared. “There's not enough money in the WORLD to deal with The Numerator ever again.” He squelched as he took a step toward the bathroom just off the lobby. “Who is, by the way, a very bored nine-year-old GIRL whose parents should be forced to pay for the havoc she caused. She took apart Daddy's spare Hublot watch to make the trigger mechanism for the freaking whipped cream.”

Glad you like it. Feel free to use The Numerator (super-intellect, STEM-focused girl, age 9 by a couple of days, absolutely freaking DETERMINED to be a supervillain to get her parents' attention. Hence, Daddy's 5K watch used as spare parts for the whipped cream sprayer.

Sadly, Mommy and Daddy just think she needs a more challenging school environment. They've heard about this great boarding school...
