I will be your host for the month. I have supplied a huge prompt list. It is all of the Crayola's colors past, current, and discontinued from their various products. There is a huge list with examples of the color here.

You may use the prompt however it speaks to you. If it inspires an emotion or the actual color that is up to you and your muse.

This looks like fun. I'll make a card.

You're missing Ultramarine and Flesh, by the way. Ultramarine appeared in some of the oldest boxes, but I also remember it from mine. They wish everyone would forget the peach-colored crayons labeled Flesh, which were around a hell of a lot later than the 1960s.

Oh wow I did huh. I will add Ultramarine. I left flesh out because of the controversy it caused. If you want to use flesh you can always add it.

For a group activity, omitting Flesh is probably prudent. I'll be using it in mine because it's a good prompt. Also, I love this version.

Yeah, the multicultural art sets came out after my crayon years. At first they were really hard to find. Now they are ubiquitous. Crayons, colored pencils, markers, construction paper, and clay are all readily available in a lovely range of realistic skin tones.

;) And then in one of my Polychrome Heroics poems, someone asked if there were any CPR mannequins with the exotic skin tones that appear with some superpowers. Not on the open market, yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kraken has some.

Sure Kira. I did add Prussian Blue but you can add any color you want. I gave people a bunch but I know there are still a ton of colors out there. Have fun!

Also if you get out on the pages by crayon collectors, some of them not only have pictures but talk about the subtle variations between colors. There are a lot more names than appear on the common lists. Some of that stuff is seriously old and rare.
