Sleepytime Bear Bingo

Welcome to the Sleepytime Bear Bingo! This image appears on a box of Sleepytime Tea. It includes lots of things that evoke coziness and comfort, perfect for this time of year. This fest runs from November 1-30. To diversify options, I've done several things...


1) Prompts are divided into several groups. The Sleepytime Bear Picture features words and phrases inspired by that painting. Comfort Food & Drinks lists cozy treats. Herbs and Spices are flavorful ingredients for soothing foods and beverages. Cozies is all about things that are soft and cuddly.

2) A 3x3 card is offered in each category, in hopes of making it easier to blackout. A 5x5 card mixes everything together for variety.

Feel free to mix and match the prompts, though, if you want a more diverse card. You can make a standard 5x5 or whatever you want. Creative interpretation is encouraged, and you don't have to stick to a category just because you're using its prompts.


3) Challenges! These are prompts that make the bingo card more exciting. You can add them to any category, or skip them, as you choose. They do let you claim multiple fills from one work.

=Spice Mix= combine scenes about 2+ adjacent prompts,
=Jumbo Cup= double the fill size of adjacent prompt,
=The Internet Has a Cat= turn on Purrli and add a cat to any adjacent prompt,
=Coffeeshop AU= set adjacent prompt in coffeeshop,
=Box Bottom Blanket= any five prompts make a bingo!


4) In addition to the standard bingo patterns of line, blackout, etc. there are others especially suited to this theme: Letter S, Letter T, Picnic Table (as tea table), and this set of Autumn shapes, and this set of Thanksgiving shapes.

Yes he does. I have several ideas. I probably won;t get to anything tonight. I had the joy of an emergency root canal today. I've been fighting with my pharmacy. I think I need a new pharmacy as well as a dentist.

I'm glad you liked it. That picture is one of my favorite pieces of art. People think it's "just cute" but when you look at it closely, you see that it is all symbolism -- even the blank walls are a cozy shade of cream!

Sadly the link is blocked in the UK, so I googled it - it's very sweet. And I've gone with the Picture prompts for my 2x2 card, as that's all I can be sure I'll have time for, and don't want to end up stressing.

That looks like a fun card. Here you can play any card at any time. The only real limit is that some hosts make banners that are only available during the main month of their fest. I don't have that skill, so there's no difference in my fests if you finish in the main month or later.
