Every time I see your icon I get warm fuzzies. I miss John&Rodney *sigh*

I miss them as well. At least we have fandom ;)

[personal profile] nsfwords 2024-01-08 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And in fandom we get to see them get together, which is my fave. Do you ship them romantically or just as friends?
vexed_wench: (Default)

[personal profile] vexed_wench 2024-01-08 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I ship them as friends and lovers. My secondary pair is Rodney/Ronon.

[personal profile] nsfwords 2024-01-08 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I’ve read a few Rodney/Ronon that were lovely. Do you tend more towards gen fic, T for teen, or explicit?
vexed_wench: (Default)

[personal profile] vexed_wench 2024-01-09 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I always try for a good solid R but wind up with a strong teen. I wish I could do more explicit but sadly my muse sucks at it. I am guessing you are able to pull it off?
nsfwords: (Default)

[personal profile] nsfwords 2024-01-09 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Not with fanfiction, unfortunately, even though it is primarily what I read. I have some small success with writing some explicit original fiction, but I don't tend to post that on my blog.

That is a good thing to be able to do. I get not making it public people can be...weird. I am more of a setup and then fade to black.

Who are you? Kat or [personal profile] spiralicious
Whereabouts do you live? PNW
Where else can you be found online? As far as spaces where I tend to be interactive, pretty much just here, but I am also regularly on Subeta, Instagram, Spotify, Good Reads, and Beanstack (though I am not sure I can friend anyone outside my library network on Beanstack).

How long have you been into creative bingo? The early 2010s?
Do you participate in any other bingo communities or fests, and if so, which ones? No, this is the only bingo comm I play at anymore.
What size cards do you like playing? I prefer to play a 5x5 card, but I usually end up playing a 2x2.
Do you usually use a public card or make your own? I almost always make my own.
How often do you make blackout? I was going to say, "rarely," but as I was typing that, it occurred to me that when I do a 2x2 card, I usually do a blackout.
What kind of fills do you make? When I first started playing here, I would go out of my way to make fills that were crafts, but I have time constraints now that don't allow for that as often, so I usually write fics, but I try to do different things when I can.
What are some of your favorite fandoms or original settings that you fill with? The fandoms I write most often here are Stargate SG-1, Startgate Atlantis, and Supernatural, but I do also write others.
What things do you enjoy seeing from other people's fills? Mostly, I just like seeing that they had fun with what they created.
What have been some favorite themes? I feel like I kind of have to say Winterfest in July and Fall Fest because I co-host those ;) Outside of those, my favorites have been Gothic Bingo Fest, National Crafting Month Fest, Summer in December, and didn't someone do at least a prompt list of non-sexual physical intimacy?
Can you think of themes you'd love to see that haven't been done yet? There have been so many great themes, it's hard to say. Of course now my brain is just churning out ideas because I sat here and thought about it too long. These could be interesting: cat theme, barbarian/fantasy theme, sci fi tropes, plant & fungi horror, liminal spaces, aesthetics (like there would be a set of cottagecore prompts, a set of vaperwave prompts, a set of old money prompts, a set of grunge prompts, etc), drunk texts theme, lipstick colors, I'm going to stop there. (I have a thing for making prompt lists.)

What is your blog like? Usually, its bits of life updates with some fandom thrown in for seasoning. Most content is usually locked, but there has been a lot of public posts recently.
How busy is it? Normally, I average 1-3 posts a week. Lately with the end of the year/beginning of the year season, it has been extremely busy, but that will die down. Last year, it was pretty dead though.
What topics do you post about most often? My life, animals in my life, observations, bingo cards, blogging memes, movies/tv shows/books/media I've consumed, goal progress, fandom thoughts, right now, I'm doing a series of tea reviews.
What kinds of friends are you looking for? People who are over 18 and have shared interests

Lipstick colors, or paint colors, would make awesome prompts lists! “Evergreen Fog”
“Foggy Day”
“Foggy London”

Yes! Vexed_wench did a crayola crayon themed bingo fest in the past, I believe. But color names are always a fun theme.

Whereabouts do you live? Gloucester, England
Where else can you be found online? I'm on AO3 as Small_Hobbit

How long have you been into creative bingo? Since 2019
Do you participate in any other bingo communities or fests, and if so, which ones? Does book bingo count?
What size cards do you like playing? 3x3 or 2x2
Do you usually use a public card or make your own? Generally make my own
How often do you make blackout? Always - not a boast, they are small cards and I don't do them unless I intend to fill them
What kind of fills do you make? Nearly always fics. Also, generally they will be linked in some way, either as a chaptered fic, or following a theme
What are some of your favorite fandoms or original settings that you fill with? Sherlock Holmes (ACD), Spooks (MI5) using various AUs
What things do you enjoy seeing from other people's fills? Seeing people enjoy themselves
What have been some favorite themes? Winterfest in July, Fall Fest, drabbles
Can you think of themes you'd love to see that haven't been done yet? No, because I only know what I like when I see it. I like themes where I can change the prompts slightly to fit the era (say for Victorian Holmes) or geographical term (from US to UK)

What is your blog like? Generally unlocked, locked is for family related
How busy is it? I aim to post about 11 times a month, it tends to get busier towards the end of the month with various monthly round ups
What topics do you post about most often? Books, crafts, travel, courses, challenges
What kinds of friends are you looking for? over 18, possibly shared interests, but there are so many things out there you may have interests I've never encountered which I will find fascinating

Hi!

Where do you book bingo? I've tried a few book bingos on Instagram, but the nature of how Instagram works made it not a good fit for me, at least for that.

they are small cards and I don't do them unless I intend to fill them That is also how I feel about small cards.

Aw, so glad to hear that Winterfest in July and Fall Fest are some of your favorite themes. :)

What kind of courses do you enjoy taking?

Are there any challenges you do regularly?

[personal profile] kingstoken has a book bingo, which is here and there's a few of us who do it every year.

The free online courses I take are varied. I'm currently doing Discovering Korean music; The science of alcohol; and Icy bodies, Europa and elsewhere. I am simply very curious.

I do Snowflake and Sunshine and others when they appeal and don't make a huge demand on me.

While the book bingo is open to all, there's no centralised place for updates, we just comment on our own DW.

Thanks!

Very cool. Those all sound interesting. Icy Bodies sounds especially intriguing. It's wonderful that you can find such a breadth of things to explore :D

Nice.
