Winter Fest in July Bingo

Welcome to Winter Fest in July.

spiralicious) will be your guest host for the month. In honor of this being our 10th Winterfest in July Bingo, we have made a special new prompt list for the occasion. It is the list labeled 10th Anniversary below. The prompts are all themed after the number 10 or anniversaries. You can use these prompts on their own or pair them up with the regular Winterfest themed prompts. The sky is the limit! We had also planned a special 10x10 public bingo card for the truly ambitious, but neither of us had the spoons to make it. Thank you so much for playing with us all of these years. We appreciate all of you.

Also, while neither of us are technically affiliated with

seasonofkink, we would like to also give them a shout out this year, as it is currently their 10th bingo round as well right now, and it's also their last round. Their sign ups started in June, but they continue until right before the deadline at the end of September. They also allow fills that double dip into another challenge, as long as the other challenge allows it (which we do). So, if you are interested in either their bingo or crossing over some kink bingo with your Winterfest fun, go check them out and give them some love! (Please read all of their rules and guidelines before requesting a card there.)

We love all things winter and Christmas. We realize that not everyone has fandoms or original universes that support that. We tried to come up with a few lists that could fit into almost any ‘verse.

Feel free to use any prompt how they speak to you. I have them separated just to make the list a bit more manageable.

For example, if you use a movie or music prompt, feel free to just work off the title or you can remix the movie, it's up to you. Or however else it moves you.

As usual, there will be banners at the end of the month. Also, fills can be made of anything; fic, poetry, vid, podfics, recs, or handcrafts. Art, icons, and wallpapers are nice as well. If you think of any medium not listed, that’s cool too.

This is a winter fest-themed month, so why not share some of your favorites and rec yours or someone else's work.

Anything goes this month. The only limit is your imagination.

As far as a collection on AO3, that would be my co-host's department. As far as I know we don't have a collection on AO3, but allbingo might. As far as one for Winterfest in July specifically set up by us, Vexed Wench would have that answer.

That's okay. All you have to do is paste in a list of prompts separated by commas, and click on what size/style of card you want lower down. If you click on a premade list it will load itself. But there are always public cards if you don't want to mess with it.

Any item created as a fill for a square in creative bingo for this community, which fits into AO3 posting parameters, is eligible for inclusion in the collection. Now, I have a question. Do you have a template for posting or do we make our own? Not a template, just a header for each submission?

There is a posting template but you don't have to use it. I usually just list my fills by their bingo letter/number. If you browse around a bit, you can see how people tend to post things. It depends on what they have -- the template works well for individual fills but not so much if you have a whole bunch.

That's pretty much why I made this community. Most bingo fests have tight rules and deadlines. That doesn't work for everyone. So I created this as a low-pressure, high-inspiration alternative. It has proven quite popular, especially with folks who are busy and/or have different posting parameters.

I enjoy it quite a lot, I'm glad I happened to stumble on it a couple years ago.

This is one of my favorite communities for that exact reason. It's also why Vexed and I keep coming back to host.
