Valentines Bingo Fest
The Valentine's Day Bingo Fest will run from February 1-29. The theme is Valentine's Day and it spans both love and loss. To diversify options, I've done several things...
1) Prompts are divided into several groups. Romantic prompts feature positive relationships based on sweet affection, but don't have to involve sex. Erotic prompts are the carnal and kinky ones. Heartbroken prompts are about lost relationships and other things going wrong. Platonic prompts are for asexual spectrum, family, or otherwise non-sex/romance inspiration. Solo prompts celebrate self-love in all its forms.
Also on the Bingo Card Generator:
Love Songs
Romantic Vocabulary "You are ..."
The Language of Flowers
Other relevant lists:
Asexuality & Demisexuality
Kinks
Sex & Romance
From previous Valentines fests:
Romance Book Titles in 2021
The Language of Flowers and The Language of Gemstones in 2023

Nonsexual Intimacies

Note that Arospec Awareness will be running February 18-24, after Valentines Day. If you're participating in that, you can make an arospec bingo card and play it as part of your awareness week activities. Feel free to refer other folks here for that purpose -- they can play even if they aren't regular members of this community.
2) A 3x3 card is offered in each current category, in hopes of making it easier to blackout. A 5x5 card mixes everything together for variety.
Feel free to mix and match the prompts, though, if you want a more diverse card. You can make a standard 5x5 or whatever you want. Creative interpretation is encouraged, and you don't have to stick to a category just because you're using its prompts. Sometimes it's fun to make ordinary things sexy or erotic things platonic.
3) Challenges! These are prompts that make the bingo card more exciting. You can add them to any category, or skip them, as you choose. They do let you claim multiple fills from one work.
=Multiple Orgasms= combine scenes about 2+ adjacent prompts,
=All-Nighter= double the fill size of adjacent prompt,
=Cheater= write cheater and cheated from prompts on opposite sides of this square,
=Aces High= turn adjacent romantic or sexual prompt platonic,
=Mirror= write adjacent prompt as positive and negative in different characters
4) In addition to the standard bingo patterns of line, blackout, etc. there are others especially suited to this holiday: Arrow, Arrowhead, Bow Tie (two versions), Diamond (three versions), and this set of Valentine shapes.

I'd appreciate additional suggestions that expand on any word or phrase on the bingo card. Feel free to make suggestions that tie into my ongoing series' or for something completely new.

I heartily encourage people to make cards based on their interests and availability.

My Card
Created a 3x3 bingo card for myself with both prompts I'm comfortable with and prompts I'm not so confident in to challenge myself— had some immediate and tentative ideas for pairings/characters too so I wrote them down as well. (Here)
Thanks for running this bingo! It's my first ever fandom event. =)

That's a good idea. As I put it, "If you're not making any mistakes, you're not learning, you're coasting."

*bow, flourish* Happy to be of service.

Yay! It's great to see new people on here. Drop by the Meet and Greet too if you have time, it's a good way to make friends.
This community hosts a fest each month, with different topics. Watch and see which ones appeal to you.

This will be a packed month and I'm already behind on some things but I think I'll try, even if I can't make it until the end of February. We'll see how that erotic card develops, eheheh. The ability to call a bingo even after the monthly event is done is honestly such a good selling point! :)

Most events have a lot of rules about timing, formats, sizes, having to post things, having to finish a whole batch before you can claim, etc. I saw a lot of people getting frustrated by that, which stifles creativity, so I made an alternative. It's pretty popular, which makes me happy. Plus it's a home for all the small fandoms, rarepairs, etc. so folks don't have to make a whole new community just to run an event. This one has a ready-made audience.
Yes ...
Re: Yes ...
But I agree! Writing badly with pride is better then not writing at all!
(btw I commented it here cause I'm doing this out of self-love, that's how I justified it at least)
Re: Thoughts
And thank goodness because it was a stroke of genius on your part. I understand a lot of people do enjoy pressure and time constraints when participating in events and it's all fine and dandy, good for them, but it's wonderful to have the option of going slow and being more relaxed about the whole thing altogether, too!
Re: Thoughts
Yay! :D I look forward to seeing that. Warrior Nun stuff, maybe? Platonic is fine for this fest.

Exactly. I do deadlines for work, I don't need them for fun.

Re: Thoughts
Seconding the line about deadlines!
Go you!
That's awesome.
>> I adore that heartbreak list! <<
Thanks. I wanted to provide all the options, and some people like to tear out a character's heart and stomp that sucker flat.
