Welcome to the Reel Time Bingo Fest!

Aug 1st - Aug 31st

I, brokenhighways , am your neighbourhood friendly host this month! This fest is inspired by my love of all things movies!

The idea here is pretty simple. Using the prompts, you can write/create anything - e.g. if your card contains ‘The Notebook’ you can write a story about a notebook or your own version of the movie. None of the prompts need to be taken literally. For the prompts, I mostly stuck to genres, tropes, top movie quotes and top movie titles and songs including some of my own favourites. I will post the full list so you can make your own cards. I don’t have separate themed lists because...something went wrong (and also I am not an organised person and I apologize). :P

In order to achieve bingo, the usual rules apply. For some other examples, I’ll refer you to the cottoncandy_bingo patterns here. There are more bingo types here, and if you’re feeling adventurous you can aim for my new fave type of bingo - the bow tie bingo! If the bingo pattern exists - it can be used for this challenge. The world is your box-shaped oyster.

The funny thing is that I've been working on a story that has An Affair To Remember reference. I had to make sure that my bingo card didn't have that movie on it.

Is it okay to use our own movie prompts? I'd like to use "The Princess Diaries" as part of my card.

If you generate a card with a Free Space/Wildcard you can substitute it with your own prompt (but if you want to switch out any of the others for The Princess Diaries, that's fine with me! - I love TPD!).

Oh good, thanks! I have a busy month ahead of me, with not much time for writing, so being able to have a prompt that speaks to me on a small card is very helpful! :D

(I've never seen it, but I'd like to, hopefully I'll be able to in the near future. XD It looks sooo good! :D)
