Magpie Monday, which is a prompt call with the theme of “unexpected gifts,” falls on 10 December. “Gifts” in this sense can include holiday or other presents, but it doesn’t exclude anything else. What does the phrase make the reader think of?

The comfort and fluff prompt call, “Feathering the Nest,” falls on 24 December, which means that I’ll also keep it open an extra day, through midnight on the 26th (Boxing Day, to many people) to give people more time to both enjoy the winter festivities and to ask for a little fluffy escape from the holiday overload.

I’ll also be hosting the Poetry Fishbowl linkback, which starts the month off right, on Tuesday the fourth of December.
