Yay!

>> The first card I can track down is dated June 2020, so nearly four years. <<

That's awesome. :D

>>I enjoy the challenge, especially as I usually try to tie each square up into one story or short connected stories. It definitely helps me to create because there's normally enough breadth to work with.<<

I like a balance between general and specific prompts. General ones may be easier to work with, but I've probably seen them before. Specific ones are more likely fresh, even if they are more challenging. I'm a huge fan of quote prompts, because it's fun to think which of my (fannish or original) characters would also fit that quote.

>> Also, because it's relaxed, I can change a square so it becomes more appropriate - one example being when there were a collection of famous cookery book titles, I changed some of mine from American to British to find the equivalent.<<

Yeah, I do that too.

We have a few specifically British cookbooks, plus Irish.

>> Normally fanfic, although for Crafting I posted collages of different crafts I do which fitted. <<

I love the Crafting fest for its diversity of fills. I usually do poetry, occasionally fiction.

>> I do normally make a blackout, but then I tend to go for 2x2 cards, or 3x3 cards for drabble month. <<

I usually do 5x5 cards, so I make one or a few blackouts in a year -- most often when a bingo theme happens to overlap a Poetry Fishbowl and/or Creative Jam theme.

>>I hosted one last year, based on New Adventures titles.<<

I remember, it was a fun dance fest!

I customarily host Valentines and at least one other fest per year. I also pinch-hit if nobody claims a month or a slated host has to drop out.
