Having a female body, I typically go by the pronounds she/her/hers. But I'm genderqueer so none of the other pronouns are wrong, and I don't mind if people use something else.
Fandoms: Fiorenza the Wisewoman, Diminished Expectations, One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis, Stand-alone, Polychrome Heroics
List of Prompts: Suicide attempt, Grief, Hostile climate, Stockholm syndrome, Depression

hc_bingo card 8-12-13
The following poem belongs to my series Fiorenza the Wisewoman. This is historic fantasy about Fiorenza, the young wisewoman of a village in Italy. Her adventures are often inspired by Italian fairytales and other cultural material. Themes include community, magic, authority, parallel religions, healing, and personal growth.
Title: "Their Blood Is Upon Them"
Fandom: Fiorenza the Wisewoman
Prompt: Suicide attempt
Medium: Poetry
Size: 270 lines
Rating: R
Warnings: The following poem (along with its notes) features some intense and controversial topics. These include homophobia, gossip, bullying, emotional and spiritual abuse, Christianity behaving badly, depression, attempted suicide, messy early-medical details, and general communityFAIL. If these are sensitive topics for you, please think very carefully about your tastes and current mindstate before deciding whether to read onward.
Summary/Preview: When Fiorenza's cousin Timoteo gets involved with a Zingari lad, some of the villagers respond very badly.
Notes: Minding your own business, family loyalty, support from unexpected directions.
The following poem belongs to my series Diminished Expectations. This is dystopic science fiction dealing with the aftermath of chemical warfare, disability, freedom and oppression, artificial intelligence, and families of choice. A majority of the writing runs very dark.
Title: "Woman's Best Friend"
Fandom: Diminished Expectations
Prompt: Grief
Medium: Poetry
Size: 63 lines
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Although the primary relationship in this poem is enjoyed by both parties, one of them owns the other. There is also protective violence, and a pretty crummy society. If these are sensitive issues for you, think carefully about whether you want to read further.
Summary/Preview: An old widow and an anthropomorphic Great Dane become friends.
Notes: This poem is actually on the lighter side of average for this series, given the affectionate aspects.
The following poem belongs to my series One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis. Shaeth abdicates his position as God of Evil and becomes the God of Drunks. This series is fantasy dealing with themes of morality, personal growth, addiction and recovery, family of choice, and slightly warped humor.
Title: "Picking Up the Trash"
Fandom: One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis
Prompt: Hostile climate
Medium: Poetry
Size: 80 lines
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Homelessness, substance abuse, indifference to people in need, prostitution.
Summary/Preview: Shaeth takes care of drunks and addicts who fall by the wayside.
Notes: This is a close look at Shaeth's changing personality and his brusque but determined efforts to do some good.
Title: "Sorrow's Guardian"
Fandom: Stand-alone
Prompt: Stockholm syndrome
Medium: Poetry
Size: 144 lines
Rating: R
Warnings: This poem contains intense and controversial topics. These include abuse, graphic violence, conspiracy, and major character death (not the protagonist). Please consider your tastes and mindstate before deciding whether to read onward.
Summary/Preview: The littlest mermaid pursues a prince who turns out to be less charming than expected.
Notes: I like twisting fairy tales into new directions.
The following poem belongs to my series Polychrome Heroics. This is a superhero setting with a variety of focal characters. The primary one is a plural person collectively called Damask, with different powers depending on who's in control at the time. Themes include diversity of sexuality, gender, ethnicity, and ableness; intrapersonal, interpersonal, and social dynamics; and different types of heroism.
Title: "One Man at a Time"
Fandom: Polychrome Heroics
Prompt: Depression
Medium: Poetry
Size: 132 lines
Rating: PG
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Bleak thoughts, mention of past hazing, educational challenges.
Summary/Preview: Damask encounter Dace, who is feeling low about college. (That's not a typo: Damask is a plural person.)
Notes: As of this posting, the poem is still available for sponsorship; you can check the series page to see price and availability of poetry.
