Do you have a favorite cartoon? My favorite cartoon growing up was TMNT 2003, along with Danny Phantom, Kids Next Door, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Code Lyoko. More recently I've also enjoyed Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. To practice my language skills, I watched the entire How to Train Your Dragon cartoon in Swedish, and now hearing their names and voices in English sounds incredibly strange.

Did/do you or a family member ever watch Saturday morning cartoons? Do you have any fond memories of that? I loved Saturday morning cartoons! We didn't have cable, so we had to wait for Cartoon Network and Nick shows to filter down to us on Kids WB, One Saturday Morning, etc. One of our favorite channels was 4kids TV, which was known for its questionable anime dubs, but the one single thing they did really right was produce a solid TMNT cartoon!

Do you have a favorite comic book or comic strip? I read a lot of Spider-Man comics, both 616 and Ultimatesverse, growing up. I loved Marvel in general, but Spider-Man in particular. My library had Elfquest which I devoured. I think one of my favorite graphic novels was 'Superman: Secret Identity' written by Kurt Busiek and illustrated by Stuart Immonen. For some reason, the story really stuck with me.

If you were a cartoonist or comic book artist, what sort of comic or cartoon would you want to make? Would you want to create something new, or adapt something that already exists? I'd love to get Danny Phantom out of Butch Hartman's hands and do something actually good with it in a reboot. Make the (unintentional???) trans metaphor no longer just a metaphor, build up the lore about the ghost zone and how it works a little more, really lean into the coming of age story. It would be fun.

Have you ever seen or read any of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise? If so, do you have a favorite version or favorite character? My favorite iteration of the franchise will probably always be 2003. I've been doing a rewatch recently with a fan upscale project that got it up to 1080p, and I feel like it still holds up really well. My favorite character was/is Donatello!
