Believe it or not, bananas and sausage would work. Ideally you would use plantains, which are a giant less-sweet banana. But if you can't find plantains, you can substitute a regular banana that is slightly unripe (and therefore still more starchy than sweet). Fried plantains are a popular food around the Caribbean and also in Africa, done spicy or sweet. So, fried plantains/bananas and jerk sausage.

Shiv would totally eat that, and I'm seriously tempted to write it. :D
