Also, I'm having considerable luck through [community profile] followfriday. Most of the time when I post a thematic list of active communities, one or two people say they've subscribed to a new one. So the more people I can get to make lists based on the things they see, the more of Dreamwidth and fandom and other interests we can cover.

I can well believe that. Case in point: I just joined followfriday myself *g*

If you want to try your hand at making a list for your favorite topic(s) then I'd love to see that too.
