Thoughts

>> Since I'm going to & write this month food bingo(Wish me luck!), I thought I'd answer the survey.<<

Go you! I have several fills already, some of them with actual food.

>> Didi's older brother Bernd is the ultimate picky-eater who prefers to eat "white food." Think chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, rice, Weisswurst, white chocolate, marshmallows, etc.<<

That sounds like it would be very hard to get enough nutrients, many of which are colorful. :/

>> My Favorite Foods: Curry, <<

We have been enjoying The Indian Instant Pot Cookbook.

>>Things I Can't or Won't Eat: I have a lot of food allergies & sensitivities.<<

Yeah, there are some foods I can't eat or have to be careful with. The main problem is bad reactions to artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. I avoid additives as much as possible.

>> I also find fatty meat, gristle, and veins in my meat gross. I find prime rib nasty, but I LOVE filet Mignon.<<

I recommend venison. It is almost pure protein. Bison and lamb are lean protein. See also:

>> What I'm Looking For: A new recipe or two? <<

Yesterday we made Onion Masala (which I would consider more of a chutney since it's wet) and Punjabi Rajma from The Indian Instant Pot Cookbook. I linked a number of similar recipes from online sources.

>> Mostly I'm looking to have fun writing! :D <<

If you're describing food, I suggest linking recipes. I started doing that because readers invariably pestered me for recipes. The most common comment I get on food poems/stories is some form of "Now I'm hungry." :D After a few "Now I'm hungry, and I can't get that here! WAH!" comments, I started to put warnings on the seriously food-focused entries that have lots of recipes and/or detailed descriptions of delicious things that are hard to make or find. I've even had a couple folks recommend things to friends because they found those warnings amusing.
