The Valentine's Day Bingo Fest will run from February 1-28. The theme is Valentine's Day and it spans both love and loss. To mix things up a bit, I've done two things:

1) Prompts are divided into several groups. Romantic prompts feature positive relationships based on sweet affection, but don't have to involve sex. Erotic prompts are the carnal and kinky ones. Heartbroken prompts are about lost relationships and other things going wrong. Platonic prompts are for asexual, solo, or family inspiration. Love songs are title prompts of all flavors that you can use any way you want.

2) A 3x3 card is offered in each category, in hopes of making it easier to blackout.

Feel free to mix and match the prompts, though, if you want a more diverse card. You can make a standard 5x5 or whatever you want. Creative interpretation is encouraged, and you don't have to stick to a category just because you're using its prompts. Sometimes it's fun to make ordinary things sexy or erotic things platonic.

Welcome to 2017, friends and neighbors at [community profile] allbingo! I am the [personal profile] samuraiter, and it is my pleasure to bring you the All Bingo revival of [community profile] darkfantasybingo, a challenge that, unfortunately, only existed for one round before it stopped running. The entire prompt list has been very helpfully ported (à la [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo) into the Bingo Card Generator by [personal profile] magibrain, meaning that this rare bingo challenge can now be experienced by you again.

From the mission statement for the original community (as seen on the [community profile] darkfantasybingo profile page): "A prompt-based bingo challenge centered on Dark Fantasy. We are focused on the interaction between humanity and the fantastical. We want that anticipation - we want our breath caught - our imaginations going into overdrive. We're looking for the moment, the breath before the realization. We want the lure of the unknown, the peril of the shadows, and the chance of a lifetime.

Dark Fantasy definition - ordinary humans faced with fantastic, extraordinary situations in a darker atmosphere. Extra-terrestrial, extra-sensory, supernatural, transhuman situations are all welcome, but the situation must have a dark side to it. Don't get us wrong - happy endings are totally welcome. We love them! The story must go through the dark side though - dark side of nature, human nature, human desire...whatever. All genres, fandoms, pairings are welcome, as is original fiction."

Dates: January 1 – January 31
Rules: Here

And here is a public card to give you a good idea of what to expect from that prompt list. (And man, do I wish I had access to that super-cool background they used for the original cards! Ah, well.)

Hey there! kira ([personal profile] kiramaru7 )here! Grab your iPods and let’s go play some music and bingo!! This month, [personal profile] spiralicious and I are guest hosting. Our theme for the month is music, which can be an important part of fandom, from anime character songs, to movie soundtracks, to a collection of songs that inspire us to create. What we have here are a few lists comprised of song titles. Feel free to use these prompts in any way. Please also note, we’re NOT saying these have to be song fics. You could for example, make a collage of various pictures of sunglasses for our “Cheap Sunglasses” prompt, or if you’re lucky enough to have snow where you live, you could go outside, make a snowman, take a selfie with it, post it and call it “Frosty the Snowman” for our Holiday prompt by the same name. *grins* We want you to have fun with this!

If you have a favorite song that didn’t make our lists, put it on your card! Like anime music? “Gravitation” for example, has a ton of songs to rock out to! Many have English titles for those of us who don’t know Japanese. *winks* Like Classical Music? Opera? I’m sure there’re titles out there that will work too!

Banners will be given out at the end of the month. Remember your fills can be anything; fic, poetry, videos, pod fics, hand crafts, art, icons, wallpaper. If you can make it, it counts! *grins*

Feel free to share your fave recs of other peeps’ work as well! As long it ties in to our music theme, all’s good. *grins*

Remember, anything goes here! Your only limit is your imagination! *winks*

We will have a public card at the end of this post for your use, or make your own by mixing & matching the prompts in our lists or fill a card with your fave songs! *grins* The Bingo card maker can be found here: BINGO CARD MAKER

We look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with! Happy Creating! *grins*

Welcome to the Fall Festival. [personal profile] spiralicious and I will be your guest hosts for the month.

We personally love all things fall and Halloween, but both [personal profile] spiralicious and I realize that not everyone has fandoms or original universes that support that. We have tried to come up with a few lists that could fit into almost any verse, even if Halloween/Thanksgiving is not your cup of tea.

Feel free to use any prompt how they speak to you. We have them separated just to make the list a bit more manageable.

For example if you use a movie or music post, feel free to just work off the tittle, or you can remix the movie it's up to you.

As usual there will banners at the end of the month. Also fill can be made of anything, fic, poetry, vid, pod fics, hand crafts. Art, icons, and wallpaper are nice as well.

This is a Fall Festival themed month so why not share some of your favorites and rec yours or someone else work.

Anything goes this month the only limit is your imagination.

There is a public card at the bottom of this post, or feel free to make you own here.

You can mix or match any of the prompts below or pick your own if like.

Also, remember you use your own prompts or any of the lists that speak to you at the bingo card maker here..

We look forward to seeing what everyone does with the theme.

Hello, all!

Back at the end of May, I launched a culturebuilding list to go along with [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's worldbuilding list. In preparation for a big "Flesh Out Your World" fest in September and October, I've added two more lists: Group Dynamics and Characterbuilding. You can find them both under the Community-Contributed Lists section on the Bingo generator.

Enjoy! And if you've got any suggestions to help flesh out the Group Dynamics list, please do toss them my way; I really struggled with that one, for some reason.

Here are a couple teasers for each list, which you're welcome to use as public cards:

Once upon a time, there was a wonderful bingo community called [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo. It hasn't been active since 2014, so I decided to revive the concept with this fest. It was my favorite bingo, and my audience's favorite as well.

The Cottoncandy Bingo fest runs June 1-30. Its goal is to inspire people to create happy, upbeat things and the prompts lean in that direction.  So much of entertainment has become bleak or hostile; it's nice to get away from that and make positive things instead.  Of course, you can take your prompts in any direction you wish. All fandoms and formats are welcome; there is no length requirement either.

You might like the Butterfly, Fireplace, Happy Face, Heart, Kite, Layer Cake, Picnic Table, Sun, Tree, or Waterfall bingo patterns.

Just in time for June, I've whipped up a prompt list full of culturebuilding considerations.

[personal profile] ysabetwordsmith compiled a list of worldbuilding topics a while ago, which is quite handy for getting a feel of the world in which your story takes place; it's got topics like Continents, Nations, Atmosphere, Orbit, Climate, Precious Metals, etc. But while I was playing around with it, I realized I wanted something with a different focus: something that would help me figure out the day-to-day experience of walking around or living in a location.

So, on my Bingo generator, under the Community-Contributed Lists section, I've got a new Culturebuilding Considerations (by An) list. With it, you can generate a card like this one, which you're free to use as a public card:

Card under cut )

I hope it'll be complimentary to existing lists on there. For example, you might use Ysabet's list to develop the world in which your story takes place, and then increase the magnification and work through the culturebuilding to help you inhabit the world.

Enjoy!

Good morning, friends and neighbors at [community profile] allbingo! I am the [personal profile] samuraiter, and I am pleased to be hosting Solo Celebration Bingo II, a reprise of the 2014 original, hosted by [personal profile] vexed_wench. As she originally said, this bingo is here to celebate National Masturbation Month (or the Merry Month of Masturbation, as certain online communities call it), and that means "promoting the healthy enjoyment of one's body with erotic works". The public card is below. To generate it, I used a selection from the romance list, carefully tweaked to avoid some things that would probably be just about impossible to do by oneself.

Dates: May 1 – May 31
Rules: Here

This is the public card, though you are welcome to generate a card of your own, too.

Love letters Failure to perform Can't get no satisfaction Morning-after regrets Love at first sight
Masturbation Celebratory sex Such a gentleman Valentines Sex on the beach
Sex in the morning Wet dream FREE SPACE Seclusion Mile high club
Experimentation Public places Bondage & discipline Nice guys come last Sex in the shower / tub

Many of the prompts are open to a variety of interpretations. For example, “Scream Queen” could refer to the women of horror movies, the reality TV show, the new TV show on Fox, a literal screaming queen, several smutty interpretations, or a variety of other things I have not thought of yet.

As usual there will banners at the end of the month. Also fill can be made of anything, fic, poetry, vid, pod fics, hand crafts. Art, icons, and wallpaper are nice as well.

Hello,

I’m going to be your host for the month ( February 1-28) here at [community profile] allbingo.

We will be celebrating love and how sometimes love sucks. I have made two public posts that you can use. As always, you can use any of the pre-made prompt lists with the generator. You always have the option to make your own card from your own. You can find it at here.

Feel free to mix and match the love and anti love prompts as you see fit on your card.

For this celebration, all forms of love and anti-lovey prompts will count. For example:

Relationships, sex, kink, sweet, break- up, bad relationships, etc.

Family, good friends, strong bonds of love or hate.

Anyone and their favorite thing, car, laptop, ring, books, cake, etc.

In short, whatever means love or love sucks to you and your muse.

Have fun and there will be banners at the end of the month. :)

Welcome! We are now open!

The Horror Bingo will run throughout the month of October. The theme for the month of October is Horror or Halloween. Make a bingo by creating fanworks or an orig works that focusses on horror or supernatural theme. Everything that is allowed in [community profile] allbingo is allowed during this month too. Fanworks or orig works including but not limited to -- fics, art, icons, wallpapers, podfics, poems, meta, vids, rec lists, crafts, cakes (I know many Harry Potter fans who created their own recipes for pumpkin juice, non-alcoholic butterbeer etc). So let your imagination go wild!

The bonus theme for this month is remixes. So if you wish, you may make one or more remixes (please make sure you have permission to do so!).

Rules for Remixes )

You may create your own card, or use one of the Halloween-themed cards linked here (thanks again to [personal profile] gigglingkat for allowing me to borrow them!), or you may use the public card I created for this month.

Special bingo patterns for October: the capital letter 'H' or the small letter 'h'. Which of course stands for Halloween and horror. For an example, see below the public card.

Any questions, suggestions, corrections, please feel free to comment! Also, please note that I'm following the US timezone. I mean, I'm guessing that majority of the members here are Americans so this way may be less confusing.

Hellloooo my fellow ghoulies! And welcome.

October is fast approaching
So lets get those cauldrons bubbling

Don your witches' hats and grab your brooms
Gather all your potions, herbs and mushrooms

Because it will soon be time for the Horror Bingo Fest! Ah-rooooo

~ * ~

Haha, sorry for the lame rhyming, I just really love Halloween and couldn't resist. I think it's the most fun holiday Americans came up with.

Anyway, now for the rules. The Horror Bingo will run throughout the month of October. Now I know the programme says this is supposed to be a remix bingo but I've decided to open the bingo to all forms of transformative works. So you may still make remixes but it's not the only thing you can make. So go ahead and make fanfics, fanart, meta, poems, fan mixes, rec lists, podfics, crafts, or remix to your heart's content!

Special bingo patterns for October: the capital letter 'H' or the small letter 'h'. Which of course stands for Halloween and horror. For an example, see below the public card.

Here is AB's list of achievements.

And here is the public card I made (you can make your own or use another Halloween or Horror-themed cards):

On August first, the next Bingo theme begins.

BIRTHDAYS!

Everyone has one, but not everyone has the same reaction to the day, or the same kind of memories. The entire list is gen, but the focus of your prompt is entirely up to the individual.

To whet your appetite, I've created a public bingo card.
(On this card, the FREE SPACE is labeled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!")

argument milestone adoption singing dinner
opportunity music playful party streamers
grief/grieving melancholy HAPPY BIRTHDAY! maturity youth
friend(s) aging sharing disappointment secret regret
alone wish(es) thoughtful movie sunny

On the first of August, I'll post the full details.

I just can't resist offering a little teaser to encourage other writers to post their bingo fills-- I'm actually offering a prize.

Hello, all! I wanted to stretch my plotting muscles, so I decided to tackle some seven-sentence stories (or seven-sentence summaries). To jump-start my thinking and give myself a set of creative constraints to work with, I put together a Bingo card for them. I'm amused by it, so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

I used the Demographics/Random Sets generator to put together a situation (taken from the Bingo Generator's list of Polti's 36 classical dramatic situations), a setting (taken from [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's list of setting tropes), and a complication (taken from [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's list of dramatic situations). I had the Demographics/Random Sets generator make sure to "Use each option only once per generated set", so that I wouldn't end up with repeats in situation, setting, or complication. Then, after I generated the random sets, I had the sets generator port the values over into the bingo generator.

The Demographics/Random Sets generator is still a bit buggy and clunky, but if you're willing to put up with its occasional misbehavior (like: occasionally buttons don't work; occasionally when you're trying to load a set of values from a comma-separated list, the list will be empty, and you'll have to re-load the list again and delete the duplicate empty list at the end), you can get it to do fun things like this. I've done "universe/worldbuilding prompt/word count goal" bingo cards; you could also do "a person, in a place, with a problem" combinations to kick off your plotting.

Anyway, just wanted to let people know that that was available to play with, and that hopefully I'll be able to continue to tweak and refine it. Here's the card I made, and feel free to play with it in any way you feel like:
